This race is sold out. Join us on April 20 for the Run as One (4M) Presented by JPMorgan Chase.
Celebrate health and longevity at this four-mile race in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Namesake Al Gordon exemplified New York Road Runners' motto, Run for Life. A standout track runner in college, Gordon had an 80-year career in finance and was an NYRR board member and benefactor. He started running marathons in his 80s and exercised regularly until the end of his life in 2009—at age 107. Lace up in Gordon's honor!
Event hashtag: #AlGordon4M—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org and in the NYRR app. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and get unofficial results right after the race!
A portion of this event's proceeds supports NYRR’s mission to help and inspire people through running, and benefits NYRR’s youth and community programs.
The course takes runners over slightly more than one loop of Prospect Park.
Mile 1: Start in the middle of the park on Center Drive and head east. Turn left on the park’s main loop drive and head north, ascending Brooklyn Hill.
Mile 2: Follow the road to the left (west) over flat and gently rolling terrain.
Mile 3: Continue west, then south down a long, gentle hill. Prospect Park Lake will be on your left, and the terrain is flat and to gently rolling.
Mile 4: With the lake still on your left, head west, then curve north. Turn left onto Center Drive to finish at your starting point.
Numbers (which include your timing tag) and souvenir waist packs may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth avenues) on the following dates:
Show the QR code from your race confirmation email or your My NYRR account to pick up your race materials. Please pick up during the week to avoid crowds on race day. Race-day lines may impact your ability to get to the start on time. Souvenirs are subject to availability; please note that souvenirs may not be available at race-day pickup.
On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central in the Nethermead near Center Drive in Prospect Park from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Bag check, located in the same place, will be open from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start.
If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need your QR code (printed or digitally). This policy is in effect only for our weekly races, and not for the TCS New York City Marathon.
Awards will be available to the top three men and women overall, as well as in age and gender groups as explained in this article. A list of all award winners will be posted in the results for each race.
